New Cal Uniforms? (Update)

[UPDATE: Cal has officially announced the new jerseys.]

Last month I posted some screenshots showing off what are rumored to be Cal's new uniforms for the upcoming season.

While we still have gotten any official confirmation (although at this point I'd be hard pressed to give you reasons why these won't be the actual uniforms), I've been able to get my hands on some new high res images giving you guys a better look at the new Cal uniforms. You can click on the images for larger views.

Credit to Operation Sports for the screenshots.

Hmmm, those are kind of sweet.

Hope they wear the throwbacks once, too.

We've had a lot of throwbacks. Are you referring to the 1975 (Joe Roth era) ones we rocked last year during the miserable USC game, or the ones from last year that I suppose will now be considered throw back?

here's a picture of the replica

I think they're horrible, random lines at the collar, and I'm not big on the bear paw, when it comes to football jerseys, classic is best. We should've just gone back permanently to the old joe roth throwbacks.

The sucessful college programs are very aware of their tradition and identity. The uniform is a big part. USC, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan, etc. have great traditions and great uniforms. The Mike White years were the worst but Tedford is making a run. Ugly! -gravey
