Desean Jackson: NCAA Football 09 PS2 Cover Boy

For any of you NCAA Football video game fans out there, I’m sure you’re all aware of EA’s approach to this year’s cover players, by selecting a different player for each console. It’s been long announced that Darren McFadden would grace Xbox’s cover, and Matt Ryan would be representing the PS3’s.

But I just stumbled upon EA’s NCAA site this morning and found a pretty cool surprise. It looks like EA has chosen our boy Desean Jackson to be their cover boy for the Playstation 2 version.

Pretty sick cover if you ask me. Definitely beats Jared Zabranksy’s cover from last year (even though the 2007 Fiesta Bowl was one of the greatest college football games ever).

On a side note, EA took a fun approach of having college football fans vote for which college mascot would appear on the Wii version of the game. I know that the Wazzu cougar was at the top of the list for a while, but it looks like it will be none other than Sparty, of the MSU Spartans who we’ll be facing on opening day.
